After several training sessions, the newly formed Free TON Team for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive took part in the open qualifiers for the second tournament of the Regional Major Rankings series with a prize pool of $100 thousand. from StarLadder Studios. It will be held online from June 27 to July 4.
Open qualifiers for StarLadder CIS RMR will take place on June 5-7 and 12-14 — two winners will enter the closed stage. On June 18-21, they will compete with four invited teams, the meetings will be held according to the GSL system with matches up to two wins. The top five will compete in the main stage of the championship.
In the final part of StarLadder CIS RMR, ten teams will compete — five of them will receive invitations. The teams will compete in two groups in a round-robin system. The top four will compete in the playoffs.
The guys from the Free TON Team successfully reached the semifinals where they faced five Ukrainians playing under the ex-Marlian tag. The format was Bo3, meaning you could only win by winning two out of three maps. Unfortunately, the Free TON Team lost the first card with a score of 12:16 and then "fell apart", giving the second card with a score of 4: 16.
